Description
Bob Dylan was a leading voice in the early 1960’s American Folk Movement. He, along with Pete Seeger and Joan Baez, combined traditional American music with biting social and political commentary, which holds its’ relevancy, even today. Songs like ‘Blowing in the Wind’ and ‘Masters of War’ made him a reluctant spokesperson for the anti-war movement of the late 1960’s. His songs and lyrics moved and motivated the social conscience of my generation. We’d listen to his songs for hours and hours. His poetic lyrics were so striking that he was awarded The Nobel Prize for Literature in 2016. I love, treasure, and sing his music all the time.
