Bob Dylan (Painting)

Description

The voice of his generation. His social/political commentary electrified Folk Music. Songs like ‘Blowing in the Wind’ and ‘The Times They are A-Changin’ were sung, not just in Greenwich Village, New York City, but throughout the country and around the world. When he switched from acoustic to electric guitar, many fans felt betrayed. It was a death knell for Folk Music. This episode is highlighted in the movie ‘No Direction Home’.
